Red Sage is a variety of ordinary Garden Sage. Both varieties have scores of uses. The chief difference between the two is the colour of their leaves and their essential oil content. The leaves of Red Sage have a reddish tint, while regular Sage is greyish-green in colour. Both plants produce essential oils, but Red Sage oil is stronger and thus, its medicinal uses are slightly different.
